Every effort has been made to make Oakton Online courses as technologically accessible to the widest variety of students as possible. The minimum specifications below are for classes that use D2L Brightspace.

Note: You can recognize that a course is not a Desire2Learn course fairly easily.  The non-Oakton sites will not say "powered by Desire2Learn" in the top left of the web page when you log in, and many require a specific "Access Code" to use

Credit for prior learning provides a variety of options to increase the likelihood for more students to complete credentials. Make an appointment with an advisor today to determine if you have previous experience or credentials that can be transferred

Those who applied to Oakton with a paper form should have received a letter with your password; you will need to change this password after logging in to myOakton using the password change icon in the upper right corner.
